These
have been some rough times. The Greeks and the Trojans have been fighting a war
for years and everything seems to be falling into place after a back and forth,
stalemate of a war to this point. Achilles prays for Patroklos and his ship
return unharmed but I only have granted one of them. This will bring Achilles
to a vengeance fighting for Patroklos ultimate death. But he will not die until
after some victorious results for the Greeks. Despite the numbers heavily
outweighing the Trojans, they have shown great heart battling a powerful enemy.
It had made supporting one side over the other a tedious job. I have to admit
though that I'm leaning towards the Greeks now after switching earlier in the
war.
On a
side note of my allegiances, my son Sarpedon, a great Trojan fighter, has
increased the hardship of supporting the Greeks. In fact I almost found myself
in an unenviable situation amongst the other gods over my son. During his fight
with Patroklos I was very tempted to save Sarpedon's life. Call it a fatehrly
instinct. But thanks to Hera, my full sister and wife, she made me realize it
would do more harm to save a mortal offspring, so i decided against it
ultimately.
